The small print
Privacy.
What this site keeps, and why, in plain words.
Who keeps your details
Laura Thompson holds the details you send her. Her site is LT UK, Laura Thompson UK.
Her booking form is run by Linktree, a separate company, and the message you send through it reaches her there.
No tracking
This site carries no tracking, no analytics and no advertising. Nothing on it follows you to other sites, and it sets no cookies of its own.
What is kept in your browser
If you press the light or dark switch in the navigation, the site remembers your choice in your browser's local storage, under the name lt-theme. It is not a cookie and it never leaves your browser. It stays until you clear your browser's storage, or until you switch back to the theme your device uses, which removes it.
Two small notes are kept for your visit only, in your browser's session storage, and are gone when you close the tab. Neither ever leaves your browser:
- lt-noren remembers that the entrance on the home page has already opened, so it does not play again.
- lt-string carries the string's colour from one page to the next.
The site takes no details for Gift Trix: there is nothing to sign up for.
The host
The site is served by Cloudflare, which handles each request so the page can reach your device.
The host keeps a record of each request to the site, including the IP address it came from, to keep the site secure and to deliver it. The lawful basis is legitimate interests: keeping the site safe and working.
When you get in touch
Your message travels through the service you choose (her form on Linktree, Instagram or LinkedIn), under that service's own privacy terms, and reaches Laura. She uses it to reply to you and to arrange your call. The lawful basis is taking the steps you ask for before any contract is agreed.
For how long
- Your theme choice: until you clear it or switch back, as above.
- The two visit notes: until you close the tab.
- The host's detailed record of each request: up to 7 days. Its security records, which can include the IP address: up to 31 days.
- A message you send through Linktree, Instagram or LinkedIn is also kept by that service, under its own terms.
Your rights
You can ask Laura what she holds about you, and ask her to correct it or delete it. You can also object to records kept on the basis of legitimate interests.
To ask, send her a message through her form, Instagram or LinkedIn.
You can complain to Laura, and to the UK's data protection regulator, the Information Commission's Office (ICO), at ico.org.uk.
