About Laura

Laura Thompson

Bringing Calm To Your Chaos

The person on the free call is the person who does the work. From the first look at how things run to the hand-over, every step is Laura herself.

How she worksThe free call

Laura Thompson, smiling, in glasses and a black and white patterned jacket, at a table in a bright room.

In her own words, from her Linktree

Why she does this work

“bring calm to chaos, whether in business operations or daily life”

What drives it

  • “born from my love of aesthetics, streamlining processes, problem solving, & helping others reclaim their time”

  • “a well organised environment is the foundation of success”

What she brings

  • “My professional journey started with a degree in advertising”

  • “My meticulous attention to detail, strategic thinking, & creative flair”

How she works

Three steps, each one Laura

What each step asks of you, and what she does. No step is handed to anyone else.

First

Set it up

Laura looks at how things run today, then gives each part a place. It asks you to show her how things are now, and to say yes before anything changes.

Example: what you show her

  • Where the post and the email land
  • How bookings and enquiries come in
  • Where the files live, and their names
  • What you would most like to stop chasing

Then

Run it with you

She runs it beside you for a while, so it works on a busy Monday as well as on paper. It asks you to say what does not fit, so it can change.

Example: a week, side by side

WedChecks the diary's rulesTakes a booking through the link
FriThe weekly check, with youSays what did not fit

When you are ready

Hand it over

Then it is all yours: every account, every login and a written how-to guide for each part. It asks you to keep the guide to hand.

Example: the hand-over list

  • Every account, yours
  • Every login, passed to you
  • A how-to guide for each part
  • The weekly check, in your diary
An oak desk mid set-up: plain folders laid out beside an oak tray, a planner open and a stoneware cup.
The same kind of desk on an ordinary week: folders squared in an oak tray, a closed planner, a cup of tea and a brass pen.
A bound guide with coloured tab dividers on a clear oak desk, beside a set of keys on a blank tag.
